ETS created the TOEIC^® program in 1979 to enable organizations to measure individuals’ abilities to effectively communicate in English in a workplace setting. Designed to provide research-based tests with rigorous quality standards, the TOEIC tests provide fair, valid and reliable scores for consistent and effective comparisons across a range of proficiency levels.
